Access
Written plainly, including the parts we can't fix.
What works
- Step-free from Oxford Street through the yard to the studio door; the surface is paved, slightly uneven at the archway.
- The studio floor is level throughout.
- Accessible toilet with grab rails.
- Two bikes with wider, more supportive saddles and easier gearing, available on request.
What doesn't
- The showers are not accessible โ the cubicles are too narrow for a wheelchair and there's a lip at the entrance. We've had two quotes for changing this and it isn't affordable yet.
- The lockers are high.
- Nearest accessible parking is in Gorrell Tank car park, which is a two-minute push over a surface that isn't perfect.
Hearing and sight
Classes are loud by design. If that's a problem, Foundation and Recovery run at noticeably lower volume, and instructors will take the music down on request โ just ask before, not during. Lighting is dim during classes and can be left up if that helps; again, ask beforehand.
Just tell us
If there's something you need, ring 01227 704812 or email hello@coastspin.com before you book. We'd much rather have that conversation in advance than have you arrive and find the place doesn't work for you.
